The one rule: hem length and heel height go together

Wide-leg trousers look best when the hem almost reaches the floor, with just the toe of the shoe showing. That means you should decide on the heel you’ll wear before you have trousers hemmed. Hem them for heels and they’ll drag with flats; hem them for flats and they’ll look short with heels.

For the office: pointed heels
